I’m surprised at how many people missed the fact that Overlord looks a lot like a live action Castle Wolfenstein game. The titles even have similar fonts.Edit: I’m surprised, once again, that so many did make the connection between Castle Wolfenstein and Overload. That just goes to show how similar the game and movie are to one another. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s where they got idea for this movie.

I played Wolfenstein 3D with my dad when I was little and that is why I'm so excited for Overlord!

They’re not zombies but super soldiers. Hence their strength, high pain tolerance and durability.

LitCreator what about the zombie chasing the woman? Did that thing have a conscience? There is also a reason I said 'fully dead' and not just dead. Being dead for a few seconds is different from completely dying. The zombies near the end that all got blown up were already dead for a while and had been decaying. The wounds each character got before they died (obviously I'm only talking about the ones who died and not the main bad guy) were also way too much to be able to be brought back to life by any s...

Sam Shamalam no do you know what a zombie is? Is a person now considered a zombie bc they die and are brought back by a shot of adrenaline? For someone to be a zombie two conditions have to be meant: they must die and come back with all or most motor functions and two they do not have a conscience. Bc a person that’s infected but still has a conscience is NOT a zombie. The guy that died in the attic and came back clearly had a conscience was clearly speaking and had a goal. He attacked them bc the drug...

I honestly never knew Kurt Russell had a son until I saw him in that Black Mirror episode Playtest.

I was expecting this movie to be bad, but it was surprisingly really good. A nice balance of war, gore, and a creepy mysterious elements.

I forgot to mention that the Brooklyn dude cracked me the eff up constantly. I was very surprised that I was the only person in my theater who was laughing his balls off at his first joke-- the mines. "Just poke your gun at the ground." "How will I know how hard is too hard?" I lost my sh**-- the way he asked it in that tone was hysterical. When the sergeant said, "you'll know!" I thought he would shoot back, "yeah, I'll know when pieces of myself are up in the trees,...

Oddly enough I felt the film was never stronger than it's first 10 minutes. The arrival and crash scene was (at least in IMAX) the best WW2 cinema I've ever seen. Honestly that scene alone gives some of the WW2 genre's best films a run for their money. The entirety of Fury doesn't match up to that one scene. So once they finally got around to the "zombies" I found myself wishing they'd just... made a WW2 movie instead. I could have easily sat through a version of the opening scene that was ju...

I couldn´t agree more, it was a great WW2 movie until the zombie thing, but then I thought, this could be an spin off of what could have happened. IMO the opening scene was even better than Saving Private Ryan´s opening scene.

I got to watch this on the 31st of oct, won free tix. The opening scene of the movie is so intense that i thought the speakers in the theatre was gonna blow and it did. The movie went on like 5-10 mins without audio and everyone was so pissed. Eventually they restart it and it was fine. Overall, i expected a survival horror zombie but just like what jeremy said, its more on war. The shooting and gore is absolutely realistic. Gotta love the make up and special effects. Overall its a B+ to an -A movie, n...

The opening crash literally had my mouth open. All I could think was, "somebody took notes in film class when they studied Saving Private Ryan."

yeah man, that opening plane crash was one of the best scenes i've seen all year long. If you're interested, I reviewed the movie on my channel if you wouldn't mind giving another youtuber a shot.
