This isn't a medical drama but based on your requests I had to critique the hospital episode of Adam ruins everything. I am a big fan of his show and have watched many episodes in the past but somehow missed this one. In this episode, I explore his position on antibiotics, hospital finances, and Mammograms!

If hospitals consistently overcharge, then there are great numbers of people who cannot afford to go to the hospital, so they must decide whether to go anyway and risk financial ruin, or they do not go and must face the consequences of being untreated.

I'm currently working at a Government hospital in Bangladesh where Outdoor Charge is 10Taka (0.12 Dollars) , Bed charges are Zero associated with free supply of Antibiotics, oxygen and Many other common drugs.
A Diagnostic Endoscopy is 500 taka (6 dollars), ECG is 1 dollar and so on, you get the idea.
So USA healthcare system is overpriced is an understatement.

sorry dude, but you're biased because you profit off sick people as well, being a doctor.

Giving a few people free care because they are extremely poor doesn't change the fact that many people who aren't poor enough to meet the criteria for free or charity care can become bankrupt from fake prices, including the lower and middle classes.

    Solution:
    1. non-profit hospitals only
    2. Full price transparency (all the way down to the drug companies' suppliers' prices)
    3. Price-fix insurance on income percentage, and insurance must be a right, not a privilege
