The Raimi films may be corny, but they nailed all the fundamentals that make Spider-man, Spider-man.... and Danny Elfman went hard as hell on that soundtrack.

@Revolver Ocelot you dont like CGI, I dont like corny shit.

You say they're corny as if that's a bad thing. It's not.

I really enjoyed Homecoming, but something about it always slightly rubbed me the wrong way. You hit the nail on the head with the whole "no consequences" thing

@bluesea devotee agree the Raimi's Spider-Man imo look AMAZING in homecoming and Far From Home still the suit look so fake as hell and paint it over with CGI at least the Raimi's spider man suit didn't cover with CGI

@Bram Steenhoek Maguire was quippy. "Here's your change!" - throws a bag of money at Doc Ock, to name an example. And Maguire wasn't popular either. But you know, at least Maguire was a Spider-MAN. Also... fuck Iron Man. He's overrated.

@OpticNinja lol both Spideys get social issues. Apart from Uncle Ben dying there are no consequences that in a narrative sense are Spideys fault. The point with the suit i was trying to make, is that SM2 gets the girl and gets to be Spidey, Homecoming didn't. Now FFH did But this ended with the world knowing Peters identity. Which is the BIGGEST consequence yet in these movies.

@Skyonik thank you, and I completely forget he says that but I was just pointing out to Oscar Vazquez that MCU Peter has gotten over it and there's logical evidence of it

@Redd Clark Yes they did, when Peter met Tony he said: If you don't stop the bad things from happening when you should then they happen because of you. That's With great power comes great responsibility reworded and in FFH Peter had a suitcase that had Ben's name on it and yes Peter had friends and family helping through Ben's death but in the original source material he never got over it because it was that much of an impact on his life. It's his fault his uncle is dead. I'm sorry about your brother.

Peter doesnt feel so good...... But everything is fine

@Why tho yea he's fine but there aren't any fucking consequencesAunt May knows about peter's secret and for her it's ok, everything fine wtf

Peter Parker’s most defining trait is his guilt complex not just for uncle Ben but for anything he does wrong and it’s barley in homecoming.

  • its my toast

Because Ben Parker doesn't exist in the MCU. Didn't Kevin "Ruining My Comics" Feige confirm that?

Raimi movies: "If somebody told you I was some ordinary kid without a care in the world, somebody lied."Spiderman Homecoming: *IS LITERALLY AN ORDINARY KID WITHOUT A CARE IN THE WORLD*

@Cesar Padron the director usually directs the writer as well. They give the writer an idea of what they want in the movie, and the writer puts it in the script. Directing isnt just choosing the camera angles.

  • Cesar Padron

@Riptide Pictures wouldn't it be the writer's fault and not the director's?

When he said:"So i did as any man does when he's confused, I turned on my favorite flick: Spider-Man 2." I felt that.
