I think the reason I didn't like Homecoming was because it didn't feel like a phase 1 film. It was just another chapter in the MCU. And when compared to other films before it, where Spider-Man was own character with his own world and you more of a focus.

0:22 you think Tom Holland’s cardboard high school understudy level acting was high level?

    Oh boy...
The scene where he’s at a ceremony being interviewed by media with aunt may as his manager.

That alone precludes this movie of any positive adjectives being thrown its way...

It’s a terrible movie that I watched once and every time I try to give it a shot I just see everything wrong and immediately become distracted, bored and tired.

I would rather write a 1000 page thesis on why racism is positive than watch this hot garbage movie and call it anything more than a terribly shit movie with bad child acting even Jon Favreaus acting as a mentor is unwarranted, cheesy and stupid.

The whole point to the personality and character of young or old, Spider-Man is he gets no help (he’s seen as a criminal vigilante, is Thor, Cap or Iron man considered vigilantes? No) and, he doesn’t rely on other people’s abilities to come up with his gadgets or plans and he is a kid who perseveres because he just wants to do what’s right no matter how much danger it puts him in and because he is super fucking smart and always out smarts villains, not because they’re dumb or someone gave him a tip to use “tingle”, but because he uses their strength and weaknesses against them, like a spider.

In homecoming he overcame these very personal ego driven challenges and Far From Home totally takes that growth and throws it in the recycle bin so they can use it again lmao.

Wow it is sooooo bad and if you like this movie you should never be allowed to judge a movie as good or bad.

The first time I saw Tom as Spider-Man in Civil War I thought it was horrible. Young Aunt May, no Ben Parker, no edginess, the actor Tom looked dorky in Civil War, the suit was made by Tony flipping Stark. It just wasn’t Spider-Man and I never saw as Spider-Man until I saw Infinity War he finally convinced in Far From Home. The web-slinging, the music😍 The action. Why am I telling ... I Don’t know

Who cares that Spider-Man's a teenager in this movie? It doesn't matter if he's 15 or 50, he still needs to be independent and understanding toward responsibility and his life needs to be as hard as if not harder than anyone else's. Iron Brat has everything handed to him on a platter, and where's his sense of responsibility? If he doesn't get responsibility or loss, he's not even Spider-Man.
