    The R's failed to pass funding when the House was theirs. They set this confrontation up by their own incompetence or malfeasance. Trump has always needed to create such a confrontation with the D's, his rhetoric and supporters demand it . Winning here it would just set up the next confrontation. And it is a given that no matter the solution or consequences POTUS will claim victory as his personal accomplishment and apportion blame elsewhere.It will be very difficult to negotiate with such a mindset....

    Oh really, Nancy said that the house would not pass his bill, they did. What part of he needed 60 votes from the senate to have the bill on his table when, at the time he had 51, he needed 9 dem votes which Schumer would not give.
