  • New laws in Alabama, Georgia and Missouri with sweeping abortion bans coupled with states like New York codifying Roe v. Wade has reignited the heated abortion debate. It is always fraught with rhetoric, as advocates on both sides of the issue spin facts to support their side. Will thousands of women die if Roe v. Wade is overturned? Is abortion more dangerous now than ever before? Do women get abortions after 20 weeks primarily because of fetal anomaly or to protect their health? Do the broad new laws essentially allow infanticide? As a viewer service, we untangle the spin. Read more: https://wapo.st/2MJdSAc. Abortion is in FACT the world MOST dangerous procedure because one of the patients must die for the abortion to be considered successful.

How in the world anybody can take J.Castro seriously after his historical (statement) announcement and the promise to give transgender women right on abortion!?! Oh...WP I guess!!!!!
A child is a blessing and gift of God, if you intentionally reject it, you shouldn't have the right on that blessing ever...PERIOD!
The weird thing is that many of these advocates of the butchering of unborn human beings are whole-hearted advocates of animal rights, and even weirder... they are passionate opponents of the treatment and separating of illegal immigrant's children from their "parents" in the ICE and the Border Patrol's detention centers!

I would like for every woman thinking of having an abortion to speak with a person who has killed or caused a person to be killed. It is a memory which will be with you a lifetime.
I made decisions, actions when I was a young man that caused at least three deaths. Always will these be with me.
As I understand it the suicide rate for women is highest with those who have had abortions. Please don't believe the lie that your child is nothing but a useless clump of cells. You know better and will not forget.
Please protect your child that is in the safest place on earth.

Pregnancy is not a punishment, it is a result; nothing more, nothing less.  When YOU apply YOUR subjective feelings is when it becomes good or bad.  Pregnancy alone just "is".  How can a woman consent to becoming or staying pregnant.  She had no choice in becoming pregnant, she just did become pregnant by having intercourse.  Consent to sex is the only thing she or the man had a say about (unless rape of course).  How is consent even possible to something that is out of your control.  Pregnancy is a natural result of sexual intercourse.  A woman can't consent to becoming pregnant or consent to staying pregnant any more than I can consent to having to pee or getting a leg cramp, Consent happens between TWO competent people with agency, authority, and faculty; whom also possess the ability to communicate their will.  The very definition presupposes that these agents have the ability to grant or deny, for an agreement or disagreement.  Did the baby ask to be there?  No, the mother and father put it there.  If a woman denies a pregnancy to continue, she has acted as an authoritarian dictator.  The mere circumstances for "consent" are not present for natural events.  Can you consent to a hurricane or tornado?  No, they just happen when the correct weather conditions present themselves.  Once the mother and father have created a new life, the new life is a dependent.  The man and woman should now assume responsibility for their new dependent until those responsibilities can be legally and responsibly transferred.

There's a concept called "bodily autonomy". It's generally
considered a human right. Bodily Autonomy means a person has control
over who or what uses their body, for what, and for how long. It's why
you can't be forced to donate blood, tissue, or organs.
Even if you're dead! Even if you'd save or improve 20 lives. It's why
someone can't touch you, have sex with you, or use your body in any way
without your continuous consent. A fetus is using someone's body parts.
Therefore under bodily autonym, it's there
by permission, not by right. It needs a person's continuous consent. If
the pregnant person denies or withdraws consent, then she has a right
to remove the fetus from that moment. A fetus is equal in this regard
because if I need someone else's body parts
to live, they also can legally deny me their use. By saying a fetus has
a right to someone's body parts until it's born, despite the pregnant
person's wishes, you are doing two things: 1) Granting a fetus more
rights to other people's bodies than any born
person. 2) Awarding a pregnant person less rights to their body than a

Legal or illegal - how in the world can anyone perform an abortion on a healthy fetus is that is, let's say, more than 16 weeks, and sleep at night. I will never understand that. Gruesome.

This is the fact Life begins at fertilization. Personhood is now a philosophical question. Because personhood has many answers, to have an abortion would be criminal negligence. Unless a legal definition of life happens for example Nix V. Hedden where the law disagreed with science.

This is beyond government interference. Removing citizen rights is authoritarianism 101. If you can't even trust your fellow citizens to make choices about their own families and health, then you have no place in America. There's nothing moral about criminalizing abortion. We already went through that nightmare and realized legal access to abortion was a not only a right but a moral obligation. After Roe v Wade, the number of dead women and girls ceased nearly overnight. No more finding dead mothers in alleys, hallways, cheap motel rooms, even in their own homes as they bled to death because of botched abortions, sometimes with husbands and male partners who had tried to assist. If you want a return to that, there is something very wrong with you. Especially when you consider that most people having abortions already have children. Birth control is not always effective. Health risks arise. Stop presuming you know what's best for others and you have the answers for them. You don't and you're morally superior to anyone. Everyone loves their family. You're not some holier than thou exception. You know what's best for your family only. If you want to survive under religious tyranny and moral hypocrisy, there are other countries you can do that. This is America. We prefer democracy, self determination, free will, and allowing people to make their own choices about what works best for their families and health.
