First) Body shaming works 2nd) that app teaches nutrition which as a former fatty i wish i had learned nutrition in my teens vrs late 20’s being healthy is a good thing. Saying chubby kids don’t NEED or DESERVE to be healthy healthy bc its hard and body shames is bigoted against chubby kids. Chubby kids can lose weight and get healthier which as a side effect will make them LOOK better which is body positivity right.?

Liberals: these children are too young to be taught about healthy weight

Also Liberals: 5 year olds should be allowed to gender transition...

Ok but if the kid is already overweight they have a problem with food. Kids are so into their phones. The whole family needs to be educated on food, parenting, addiction, self care etc....

Every woman deserves the right to an abortion. Those options are still out there since many organizations withdrew from Title X funding. But yes I don't want my taxes going to pay for someone else's abortion either. I want my money used on things I use, that is all. So I'm fine with Title X by a landslide. Doesn't affect me.

Yeah I think the app is a GREAT idea, we need kids to be healthier using fun app tactics. They shouldn't have had confidence or weight loss as "reason" options, but rather just have the green, yellow, and red foods like a game. The more green foods you eat, the better! Kids need to be healthy for health, not image. It's a sound idea that is necessary in this American climate, just should tweak the reason selection they have to not include mental/societal influence.

Why didn't they (planned parenthood) just give the list of doctors with their phone numbers and tell the patients that thei would have to callup see if they provide abortions?

I think the red light system for WW is a good idea and easy exercise for kids so they can fill in gaps of education on how to keep fit and eat healthy but they should add anything about weight as kids become obsessed with numbers.

regarding the kurbo app, i feel it is extremely damaging to kid's confidence, especially considering the optioned they give them, i had alot of issues with my weight growing up becuase of points like the "options" they put in there, i think if we quit trying to force "healthy" foods onto kids and just start feeding them the healthy food rather then makeing them choose the healthy food over the unhealthy food we'd get better weight in children and more confident children, kids only percieve being "fat" as bad becuase we tell them it's bad... if we dont tell them it's bad they wont worry so much about their wieght and if we also feed them the correct foods, they wont even know the difference and be a healthy weight while also haveing a healthy mindset

Being obese is never healthy. Looks are are subjective, health is not. Stop being anti-science.

Um yeah I'm concerned about an app saying it's for children to help with weight issues. Giving an app all this data on a kid that might have a mental issue about weight on the internet makes me very very nervous because it seems like a big cache of "i know your weakness"

I don't think there's anything wrong with the app. Children shouldn't be fat. It's cruel. Having said that the parents who endorse it are just trying to shift their own responsibility.

If your kid is fat their quality of life will almost certainly be worse than if they weren't. Their confidence is likely low anyway and their physical/mental health may well be getting compromised already.
