Halloween costumes will always have a special place in our hearts. They're what got us started and we still love making them. We decided to make two on trend costumes (Scoops ahoy and Jessie from Toy Story) and two timeless ones (Alice in Wonderland and a Vampire). We'd love to see all of your halloween costumes whether we made it this year, or 8 years ago. Tag us on instagram using #sorrygirlssquad

I mean. The DIY costumes look way better IMO but the amount of various glue would assume you couldn't wash or wear these outfits more than once maybe twice if you are lucky before it all falls apart. I would honestly sew more, i know the idea is to do quick and cheap, but if i wanted to DIY something that i could wear to more parties or save for something else i would just sew on like the trims and the detail work and spend the extra money that would cost. If i was going to put that much effort into a costume to look good, i'd just spend the money and take the time rather than glue everything and ultimately have to throw away the 30-45 dollars it took me to recreate the outfit that costed 20 bucks more but looked crappy. If that makes sense.

It may only be $15 - $20 cheaper but like....it looks SO much better quality...plus store bought Halloween costumes are always SO thin and see through, they just look so horribly cheap, this is a win in my book.

THANK GOD FOR FELT! I use it to make everything.
Also I love how there was typically at least one thing per costume you could add seamlessly to your wardrobe-perks of thrifting your costume.

Next time use a lighter to keep the fabric from fraying. Just run it along the edges of the fabric. 😊

You probably had enough material to DIY a matching vest for the scoops ahoy pants and you totally should have diyd a red yarn wig for Jesse.
