  • Shortly after my baby Wes was born, he got sent to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). It completely tore me apart.

I have been trying to figure out how I want to tell this story for weeks. I kept recutting this video, reliving the emotions. It has been hard.

But it's a story I want to share. I hope that it makes others who have been through or are currently going through similar experiences feel less alone. I hope that it inspires you personally, and fills you with hope that life, despite its challenges, after all, can be beautiful.

    -Ned

P.S. A HUGE thank you to all of the nurses, doctors, and administrators at the NICU and all hospitals. We appreciate you so so much.

This car seat test is something I’ve never heard of. I have 3 daughters and our hospital didn’t have anything like that. Is it a CA thing or is it just a newer test? I live in the Midwest and our commutes are definitely not as long as in CA.

This is the way children should come into this world: to (a) truly loving parent(s). Good, positive people. All the best to Ned, Ariel and their little family ❤️

I was born with jaundice and I wasn't able to leave the hospital for a week. The doctors and nurses put me under special lights to get rid of the jaundice. My mom would come to feed me and take care of me every couple of hours. After a week, the doctors called and said I could finally come home, my mom and dad were sure happy to hear about that.

Ned, you will be an awesome dad and your son Wes is adorable!!

Car seat test? What? Never heard of this kind of test. Interesting how the practices can be so different between countries. Greetings from Finland and congrats! Little Wes is adorable. 🥰
