  • Every day, Alyson who lives in Sydney, Australia sees a homeless man sitting in the same spot. The 59-year-old Chris happily chats to passersby and allows them to play with his adorable pet rat named Lucy. The rat never leaves Chris side and munches on snacks and entertains strangers.

This is Incredible! All too often homeless people are treated as if they are invisible. I've known & know some people who are homeless and have been homeless myself before. That the police took this man's complaint seriously and helped him give me hope that one day they will become real people to everyone one day

All pets matter. We love and they all love. So glad he got his Lucy back.. and very happy it was a woman who was taking care of her...

Amazing,we're talking about rats and you show video of a gerbil...learn the difference for heaven's sake! why does it take so long to get to the point..we've all fallen asleep due to the repetition, which is a shame because it's a nice story.

I don’t like rats, however it’s mainly the human kind with Law Degrees, but I love animals, thank you for this phenomenal story you shared with us all.

Animals bring joy to us all and more so to the homeless who have little else to fill the emptiness of their daily lives, a happy ending for Lucy and her owner.
