The unknown part of Wilt Chamberlain is how intellectual he was. The words that he used in interviews. That's why he wrote 2 great books about his life and basketball career.

    - Who's Running The Asylum? Insane World of The Sports Today
    - A View From The Above

    Must read.

Wilt Chamberlain is probably in my opinion I was not around when he played but I would have to say that he would destroy anyone in the NBA today one-on-one he would totally destroy anyone

Wilt vs. Jordan is a mismatch. Jordan would score on Wilt every time. Wilt would score on Jordan ALMOST every time. Advantage: Jordan

This shows how older people think there Era was more hardcore than whatever the current Era is. He says Micheal would be crushed, Micheal thinks he'd smoke LeBron, LeBron probably to someother dude.

Wilt was an exceptional athlete, especially for his time. But for Wilt to argue that he is better than Jordan is wrong I think--with all due respect to Wilt. First they play two different positions--two very different skill sets. A guard must compete with millions of other players to end up making the NBA (considering their height)--a center who is 7 foot tall only needs to compete with a handful of people to make the NBA since there are almost none of them on the entire planet--and even then it just comes down to athleticism and coordination (just look at the way Shaq shot freethrows...garbage) since most 7 footers have a hard time being nimble. Looking at Wilt's highlights, I imagine Dikembe Mutombo would be as dominant, offensively, as Wilt was if he was placed in the league back in the day. While doing a 4 foot hook shot does take some level of skill it certainly does not take the level of skill as Jordan's back to the basket double juke turnaround Jumper. Anyways I can go on and on but I think you get the point.

I love Wilt but he is delusional. I bet the best high school team today could complete with Russell or Wilts early 60's teams. Russell might average 10 points today and would be a tiny center in today's game. Wilt would do much better overall today than Bill because of his size, athletic ability, and his offensive skill set.

Damn listen to how smart this man sounds. Def high IQ. In today's game with his physicality and smarts he def would average upper 30's into the 40's.
