  • WATCH ME IN THE HOSPITAL (VLOG): https://www.faceclips.net/video/LzpCldPiT0c/video.html

Well, this flight was exciting, to say the least! Luckily it was a learning experience for both me and Matt! Whenever you have an airplane medical emergency doctors do have an ethical but no legal obligation to help. After this event, I thought it might be nice to do a dedicated video to Airplane Medical Emergencies and in general what is expected of doctors and passengers. If you're game for that please let me know in the comments!

Thanks, Defranco for the shoutout! Check out his channel here: https://www.youtube.com/philipdefranco

If you have an idea of something you want me to cover in-depth, please let me know because I take your requests seriously. We will be back with more Doctor Reacts Series & Responding to Comments so please submit more names of shows/episodes & questions you'd like for me to watch. Love you all!

Im surprised that people with allergies dont carry epipens. My mom has always taught me that if you have an allergy, to carry around an epipen. I had an allergic reaction to claires makeup when i was younger, and my mom has always made sure to keep extra epipens for me and for herself on her at all times. Ive never worn cheap makeup since then, and if i do wear makeup i make sure to not itch or scratch myself with makeup still on my hands just incase it happens again. I get small singular hives on my arms and legs sometimes, and usually if i run them underwater or rub some of saliva on them (thats something i do if i dont have access to water, and it works quite well since im use to any germs on my own body, so my saliva isnt harmful to me.), the hives go away, but i always make sure to monitor them incase they get worse.

A little late to the party here, but as a person with a life-threatening food allergy, I want to say THANK YOU (todah rabah 😉) for what you did for this guy. And thanks also for calling attention to this very serious issue!

There are always peanuts on planes right...? The fourth most common allergic substance? There should have been an epi pen

i have similar experience as a nurse but not sooo "emergency". Keep momitoring a patient on flight with basic equipments instead of monitors in hospital setting was really tired and scary.
