    My only thought would perhaps use a piece of metal atop your legs to hold the heat. Set about 6 inches above it. Can cook on it that way also

    Instead of the log outside I was wondering if we could use a hollow cylinder of steel or metal with wood burning inside plus the metal pipe can be covered with rubber or any insulator with high melting point.
