  • How to stop topping your golf shots, specifically your woods including fairway woods and your hybrids. What you will learn will help your stop topping any shot including your irons and your driver but Danny in this video Danny puts particular emphasis on your fairway woods and hybrids.

Players like Tiger Woods, Rory Mcilroy, Jason Day and Dustin Johnson are wonderful hybrid and fairway wood players and no matter your age or ability you can copy simple things that they do to eliminate the top shot for good.

Learn this and more in this weeks golf lesson, plus as a massive thank you for supporting my channel I'd like to give you two bonus videos that will help you to generate more distance and accuracy off the tee too.

    ABOUT DANNY
    -----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Fantastic video, as it can be applied on the tee from 1 or on fairway. What words should I repeat before doing the swing? Because for me golf couse so different of drive range

Good advice. I try to tell amatuers to sweep their woods but I see the steep iron swing with woods all the time. Also...it helped me to only do a 3/4swing with my woods. More consistent.

Timely! I was topping a lot of shots yesterday, after a short layoff. Will try this. Can you please talk about ball position with hybrids and fairways?

Hey Danny, I'm a subscriber from Indiana u.s. I think my problem is not knowing how & where to set up when facing the ball. I got the parallel part but if I am 2 inches either way I top it or I dig myself a giant hole. Please help me learn how to do the set up. Thank you for all your tips so far it is really helping my scores. Thanks again from a cold Indiana. 55 degrees on Monday so I'll be on the course of course.

Danny fantastic idea using the spray. I can’t exactly see where your hands, handle and left arm are located. Are you forward pressing? Your shoulders looked closed? Is that a better set up for Fairway woods

Niklaus would lift his left heel off the ground at the end of his backswing and start the downswing by planting his left heel. What I see here is pretty much the same thing but with slightly less left heel elevation. A popular theme in golf instruction these days is to use the ground for power, this is not new. Look at Sam Snead's bow-legged squat, then post up on the left leg as he hit it on screws. (persimmon drivers had screws in the face, hence the expression) You are the best personality of any youtube golf instructor and one of the best. Thank you.
