Will the 4-Stroke Bike Survive Nitrous Oxide? Let's find out!

  • Let's see if the 4-stroke bike can handle nitrous oxide (NOS). We'll also test nitrous in the engine with the see-through cylinder head. In this video, you'll see pre-ignition take place inside the see-through engine. Thanks to everyone who requested this video. I greatly appreciate your ideas for future videos. Also, thank you very much for supporting the channel by watching the commercials and through Patreon support. https://www.patreon.com/projectfarm

Have you tried using compressed air to ‘supercharge’ a small engine? I think it would be an interesting experiment.

So this means that scene in the first fast and furious where the NOS tanks explode and destroy the car IS TOTAL NONSENSE?

The problem with NOS and not adding extra fuel you run the engine super lean, so combustion get super hot and will burn a hole through your piston, so don't do it.

I love you videos as you always do it right! Unfortunately had to comment on this one... You really need to add extra fuel or at least richen up the mixture some. This is leaning out the mixture way too much. Basically just adding compressed air to an engine with no extra fuel. Love the work you do though, keep them coming! More tractor/diesel videos if you can!

Thank you mate! Its good to see someone pointing out that N2O is not flammable just helps to cool the air flow intake so it can compress it more and add more fuel for a bigger bang!

I know this is an old video but you should get an actually car nitrous kit and put it on one of your engines.

N2O is an oxygen source. You are supposed to add additional fuel with it. Try attaching a venturi that draws in fuel when you hit the N2O and you will have something.

Most people that use nitrous oxide systems in cars to make extra power also add fuel to compensate for the extra oxygen. Adding extra fuel also stops the detonation. They also retard the timing while that nitrous is engaged

hey @Project Farm there's something I would like for you to test out, the ferite beads ( or you could google it) I used it in my motor cycle ignition coil wire, I put two of the parallel to each other. the effect of it, it sustain the sparks or the arcing of the charge to the spark plug even on low rpm or even the engine is on idle, it gives constant electricity. or your could watch some video of it on youtube called ferite beads on ignition coil

Try a mini turbo charger on the bike motor and see what it will do?

You aren’t going to get anywhere near the full potential of Nitrous unless you set it up to dump more fuel into the cylinder at the same time the purpose of nitrous is to add more oxygen into the mix the more oxygen you add the more fuel you can burn try adding a separate small fuel tank so you can mix the nitrous with more gas as it goes into the carb that will give you more power right now all it’s really doing is giving you a more efficient burn as all of the gas is being ignited in the cylinder rather than only about 50% the rest gets burned in the exhaust normally.

Now you can finally escape dogs that give chase. Though you should probably put another of these goofy things on your other handlebar so you can tell your friends you have 2-stage nitrous kit on your custom motorcycle. I think it would work better, and with less detonation, if you make some attempt to carborate the the nitrous with some type of fuel. It's probably leaning out your mix too much. In a real system, they use liquid NOx and simultaneously add additional fuel for it to work against.
