Let’s be real, you’d probably enjoy hunting pigeons that landed in your enclosure if you were stuck in a zoo. Damn pigeons taunting you with their freedom.

If they allowed Geese hunting in my area, I am sure a lot of people would be on board. Those birds leave LOTS of droppings on the sidewalk and even interfere with the air

Wait, are rodents not considered omnivores? I grew up on a farm with a serious, constant rat problem, and if a chicken died and the body wasn't discovered soon enough, rats would hollow it out like a handbag. They'd eat from underneath, so it would seem relatively normal until you picked it up and realized it was a shell. They also frequently killed and ate chicks.

Not the entire order of rodentia, but yes, rats and mice are generally considered omnivores. They are even considered predators, since they habitually raid bird and insect nests for eggs, young, and the food brought to the nest to feed the young. Bee keepers put metal grates on the openings in bee boxes to prevent mice and rats from nesting inside of the hives, and eating bee larva, honey, and wax.

"This is life, and no one gets out alive, so being able to eat dead things is a pretty good way to make a living." I'm gonna quote you on that, Hank.

I have no beef with what they are doing. They don't wanna starve and meat their end, their lives are at steak.

More people are killed in Yosemite by deer than any other animal, including bears. And this does not include accidental road encounters. Deer are quite dangerous. They will attack and kill a human if cornered.

  • Kaiser Frost

     (Apr 8, 2019)

Nonsense. Deer don't kill people, people die when they hit deer with their cars. Deer are hardly dangerous. How many deer have you been up close to?
