I know you gave a source for Mr Clean MagicEraser at Amazon but I noticed the same (I think) product at a hardware store (Lowe's). It seems to be design for household cleaning although it does mention alloy car wheels. It does not mentioned glass or car windshields but does mention not recommended to use it on vehicle bodies another other things. It indicates it is 4X stronger with DURAFOAM. Is there more than one kind of MagicEraser? Have I purchase the correct product? Thanks.

Another TIP.   Do not use Laundry DETERGENT to wash your microfibre towels.  They have chemicals for shine and smell that make the towel less absorbent of dirt and water.  Use scent free SOAP, Like Ivory.

Turtle wax has dash and glass cleaner, so you can just wipe it of the dash or the windows.

Also, if at all possible, don't do this in direct sunlight!

You should also lay a towel or something like it on the dash while working on the window.

A couple things here. When cleaning glass in cars, use different patterns on the inside and outside, i.e. horizontal on the inside, vertical on the outside. Why? Well, a vertical streak is outside, and a horizontal streak is inside keeps you from chasing the streak. If you don't have microfiber newspaper is really good as the ink actually helps polish the glass.

Save yourself money and time. I use about 2 tablespoons of Dawn dishwashing liquid because it cuts oil and grease. I also use 2 tablespoons of white vinegar in 24 oz. of water.
WHY? Because the vinegar is acidic and leaves no streaks. I learned this when I use to watch my mom clean the house windows when I was a kid.
The microfiber towels are great for this and computer screens. Plus I have never had this combination hurt my tinted windows in 25 years. And it is a lot less work. Have Fun...

Cool. I always thought it came from the HVAC. Well, I suppose it could, especially the heat side (defroster) since the ducting is plastic.
