  • With Disney Plus just over the horizon, Netflix could be in big trouble... Subscribe for more videos: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

Netflix has been incredibly successful this past decade. They brought binge-watching to the mainstream and developed super popular shows like Stranger Things, House of Cards, Glow, Narcos and a whole lot more.

They’re definitely the kings of streaming movies and TV… But that all might be coming to an end pretty soon. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes at Netflix that COULD spell trouble for the company.

Namely, Disney is about to enter the streaming game with Disney+... And man do they seem to be taking this seriously. With a whole slate of new content from Marvel, Star Wars and more, it’s going to be difficult for Netflix to keep up the pace with them. So is Netflix going to be okay? Make sure to watch this video to get all the info!

Can't Disney just leave this area alone, don't they make ENOUGH money already? Netflix in Australia is already less than the US then this will happen? We already have shows and movies split between Netflix, Stan and Foxel, yet I've just stuck with Neflix

If Netflix would cut the price in half and then add commercials; they would generate a ton revenue...... because let's be honest TV is heading towards streaming services anyway which means eventually we're going to have ads with our streaming services..... and I could easily do this with two packages one with ads like Hulu already has and one without ads

Disney can keep their paws off of Netflix. Netflix is a great company that innovates and I want to support that.

Netflix needs to become undeniable. They need more things like Birdbox. They need to create movies that go viral. Disney isn't going to keep their service at $12.99. That's an introductory price. The true price will probably end up around $20-25/month and people will pay it. Netflix is gonna have to be more than "the first" now. They're never gonna be on top again but they can survive on their own content if they make it interesting. Them blaming the content is accurate even if it was the price hike. The content wasn't exciting enough for the price. The only thing they can do to satisfy the price/subs gridlock is make better content. People will get a subscription if they keep making content people like to discuss, like Bird Box. Anyway, that's just what I think.

But, really, how many people who currently have Netflix will actually drop it for Disney+? Or, rather, (like me), they'll keep Netflix and also subscribe to Disney+?

It would be cool if Disney bought Netflix and all Netflix originals came to Disney+

Isn’t Disney also incredibly in debt, especially after the fox purchase?
