I understand Black actors want us to support them BUT tbh we deserve better written and executed Black shows. PERIOD. I want smart humor, deep storylines, and more. Not just biracial kids and a sassy Black grandma.

I just don’t like how they make black people so extra

If you watch the show you can see that they have deep storylines too for example the one how the cops stop them for being black

One teaspoon 'Family Matters' plus a sprinkle of 'Full House' with a heap of 'Meet the Browns' and stir.

They never have a black man with a brown or dark skin black woman. It’s always a light skin mixed woman and I love Tia but I’m tired of them using mixed women to represent black women. Also why is the daughter always a light skin mixed girl as well ?

Agreed and let’s also point out one of the children is white passing while the other two are also light skinned/mixed. Yet they are emphasizing “black”.

“Black people come in all shades” okay we know but can get more representation for dark skin black ppl especially the women is that too much to ask for?

I wish people were so quick to defend darksins on a tv show like they did the lightskin girl.

몽니 Why y’all always complaining about the skin tone of the actors on sitcoms?? Like there’s never been ton of sitcoms that hasn’t shown dark skin women in good light? Smh... Family matters, Fresh Prince,The Cosby show, The Bernie Mac Show, House of Payne, etc..

and this show have all black writers and this is what makes it really sad. so your telling me when you have white writers on the show its more authentic than actually having black people who lived the experience write it. Smh

Why is it that the black man usually has a light-skinned or racially-ambiguous wife? Why can't he have a wife that's the same complexion he is?
