I got a question, if them extra fancy moves are ineffective what's the purpose of learning them if they are not effective in a street fight

Best way to survive a street fight. Avoid a street fight.

Sometimes: a person has got to stand up for themselves. If you walk away from a fight all the time; people will bully you and try to take advantage of you. Once you whoop a bullies but, one time; you get respect, and nobody will mess with you from that day forward. So disagree to avoid a fight; every time.

Bruce Lee in one of his movies, tricks the guy into a boat saying he will fight him on the island or whatever. Then he sets the boat to drift avoiding the fight entirely.

Like all martial arts it will just tell you how to fight & defence will style, technique & there are rules of engagement. All those things won't apply to a street fight. It's not about how much you learn but how you apply them.

Learnt origami a few years back, but i don't think that's going to help much, although saying that. Imagine he's coming at you or she for that matter and boom, you've just made yourself a doberman pinscher in seconds, that you can release on your attacker, job done. They've run off and no one gets hurt.

Paper is deadly. You never heard of a "Millwall Brick"? Roll up a newspaper, fold it in half, clench tightly in one hand and hit assailant sharply on the nut with the "closed" end, he won't trouble you again. You're welcome.

The first technique reminds me of my studies in shaolin kenpo. Block strike at the same time, using palm strikes and take downs. Ive used it on the street and its amazing that you dont actually have to hurt someone to get them on the ground and under control. Funny, they always cry and give you lots of respect next time they see you. Great video.
