Cuomo, like Obama and the Jacobin Squad - are committed to Dark Ages' deindustrialization + depopulation. Their views go back to the Club of Rome & Malthus: ' People and their science are the problem, Small is Beautiful, so let the British led oligarchy have its hegemony! { In 2015, Obama told African leaders, that they should not pursue modernization - since this would overheat the planet. } ' / This is just another way to undercut our Economic Nationalist and the concordance he has been building with the leaders of China, Russia, India, Japan, Italy and now Greece - for an Economic & Cultural Paradigm Shift!

Climate change has always occurred. Artificially holding the climate constant by intervention is a futurist idea that isn't a good idea at present since we cannot accurately predict climate change with current computer models.

The left is crazy. Maybe new scientific studies should come out showing CO2 is linked to the rise of transgenders. The nonsense would be over shortly after that!

Will this new proposal also include emissions from asphalt roads and rooftops or is this only counting emissions from vehicles. And what about boats?

I don't think it helps much when regions do big things unilaterally since the climate is a world problem and raising the cost to do business means business goes elsewhere where they probably won't have as restrictive environmental regs.
Personally I think we should concentrate on a world-wide carbon tax where countries that don't participate get tariffs by the ones that do. This won't hurt business because it will be done equally throughout the world. Alternative energy becomes more economical.
