  • (insert Kitty laugh)

Welcome to Next of Ken and in this episode, we're counting down 25 Times Kitty Forman Was The Best TV Mom Ever. Red and Kitty were obvious relationship goals, but Kitty herself was the ultimate TV mom to end all TV moms. She was hysterical, always had the best advice, and had the greatest laugh ever. Also... she was never afraid to burn someone if they had it coming. For that, Kitty gets her own compilation video. We love you, Kitty!

I love that she saw Laurie for who she really was and wasn’t oblivious like Red.

He was more in denial than oblivious.

+Ryan Molloy 6months late to the party but her major substance issue was alcohol. Drank A LOT during her time with 70s show. She checked into rehab and died of a (unknown which drug but she took multiple)drug overdose a few days later. The rehab was sued for negligence and it was settled.

Red might have been the tough and disciplinary one but Kitty was the one that was really in charge.

When has Kitty ever NOT been the best TV mom ever?

Burt Macklin I admit that it’s sorta true people do drink and smoke in a crazy way back then but don’t forget about the mental breakdowns over pointless things. And I think one of them is her always saying that Eric is her baby and still treats him like one. Unless that’s from overprotectiveness (which I sorta understand) I don’t see her as a character to be inspired

Eric's friends didn't only like hanging out in his basement just because it was a nice basement. His house felt more "at home" and "welcoming". Red may be a hard ass but means well. And Kitty was more of a mother to everyone in the group. Plus, there's always food at his house

  • Barrett Fenwick

     (Feb 20, 2019)

Hey that's a big plus when you're a kid deciding what house to go to! I know from experience. :P

Kitty was an amazing character, her delivery was perfect, she and Red were really terrific together and her laugh was amazing. I see myself... "don't panic, you know what to do..." Thanks for the memories.

She reminds me of my mom when I grew up, I am a 70s kid (ok not teen) but I do remember the 70s. mum would bake, would clean, and was a nurse, worked all hours and somehow she was always home...

What I loved about Kitty is that she didn't put up with Red's shit and she checked him when he went too far on discipling Eric.

+Rocky Walker yeaaa but all dads do that at some point. Laury was wild lol she deserved it 😂

+aleah marie true, but there were a few episodes where Red took it to far and Kitty checked his ego. I remember one where he was punishing Eric and Laury waaaay too much with curfews and overloading chores. Kitty called him out for it.
