I wish that were true. I used to be a bagger at a grocery store and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. there was a sale of sodas, Tastykake, and TV dinners, people would stash their carts full of them. I'm talking 6-20+ boxes/bottles/cans worth of that sugary, starchy crap. People in this country are gluttons who eat themselves to death.

Twinkie’s were good before Hostess went bankrupt. The cardboard they replaced them with are trash. They used to be soft and pillowy.

That's why people decided to deep fry them. Only way to improve them is boiling oil...

There's a reason why Twinkies made a come back after weed became legal... No one in the US thinks Hostess snacks are divine. But, as it goes in every country and culture, it's one of those things that, despite being universally acknowledged as being horrible, they still manage to stick around through the ages. And now, it's just a part of Americana, whether we like it or not.

@Random User Contrary to urban legend, Twinkies and other similar baked goods do have a shelf life. :-p

Hostess was great in the 1970s. These days...the company has changed hands several times and the products sucks now.

Hostess was great back in the 50's and 60's before they took out the trans fats which gave the products their flavor.
