In this session, Asher (he/him) discusses the importance of animals for many Autistic people, and Asher and Chloe focus on their particular love of Giant African Lands Snails - or GALS - why they make great pets, and provide advice on how to care for them.

    Guest speaker details:
Asher Gilbert (he/him) is a university graduate who studied canine clinical behaviour and he has a particular interest in animal-assisted therapy. As well as studying, Asher volunteers with Noah’s A.R.T, supporting during animal-assisted therapy sessions for people of all backgrounds, including many Autistic and otherwise neurodivergent people. Asher is also a proud transgender man and LGBT+ advocate, this is something Asher hopes to discuss in a future session!
