Melisandre was the real MVP. She allowed me to occasionally see what the hell was going on by lighting shit on fire.

The writing doesn't match the production. The writers are hacks. They're useless unless they're going off the books or George's notes.

They are going off GRRM notes, he told them the major plot points. They just didn't do a good job going about it lol

The Night King, who is implied to be thousands of years old, fell for the old, "bait and sneak attack," trick? Yeah, no, that's asking too much of me. Seriously, there were a lot of great scenes that I really enjoyed about the episode, but the writing and decision-making was poor. So many characters were continuously swamped by the dead and still somehow survived. They took all this time to build up the army of the dead and the White Walkers as these ancient, intelligent creatures with a most...

This is the equivalent of if the emperor and Darth Vader had died in empire strikes back and in return of the Jedi and then the rebels go and fight jabba the Hutt for the final battle.

To: Karl Faucher________________#1) The series is called "Game of Thrones" so obviously it's telling you what's important, the books go by other name, so that's different.#2) Daenerys was being "building up" since episode 1 as well, so that's not a good argument.#3) I didn't said anything about "subverting expectations" that's on you, for me it wasn't surprising, it was obvious that the Night King wasn't gonna be last boss, if only for Cersei still remaining.

@Karmagheden wanna bet it will be Dany that betray everyone and Cersei and Jon need to join force to kill her?

Ghastly_Grinner You’re a bit of a halfwit. If George RR Martin said they can’t be defeated in an open field, they can’t be defeated in an open field. You don’t know more than the writers.

I expected this episode to be Infinity War (with ep 5 being Endgame) and I got The Last Jedi

Remember all those years where you couldn't wait for the whitewalker war to be over in one battle so we can get back to Cersei's bullshit? Yeah me neither.Imagine this episode happened roughly the same as it did, but without the night king. Some other whitewalker shows up in the godswood, and Arya can kill one all the same, and the day is saved, but then you realize... holy shit that wasn't even the entire undead army. The night king and the brunt of his forces went further down South. It was a divers...

I hope this makes GRRM more motivated to finish the books and give us a truly satisfying ending rather than this.

@R eh. When did I assume the morals of the author. Like don't put words in my mouth dude. Feeling stress and not wanting to complete the series and already filthy rich so there are no incentives to complete the books are not fucking mutually exclusives. It can be both. ZzzzFrom the interview I gathered from George at comic con to various interviews. He seems like he is having fun interacting with the fans and just chilling, everytime someone press him on completing the books, he give the vibe of ''...

@Luke Lim and I think you people give too much credit for the "morals" of these authors. George wants money, that's why he sold the rights. He doesn't care if the quality of the series is shitty, he is already rich. And I assume he doesn't care to finish the books either, I honestly believe he is already retired from writing and it is only benefiting from the hype. He is 70 years old with a history of bad health in the family, people joke about it but this can be taken in consideration. No re...

@Amy B I wasn't aware such a simple question would strike a nerve but I will take your frailty into account for the remainder of this discussion and try to be more polite. My apologies, it wasn't an insult it was merely a question and observation based off of the character you established of yourself over previous comments. That character being somebody who is terribly naive and believes every excuse thrown at them... no matter how illogical... Don't blame me for being confused by strange behavior. For...

Daniel Christopher yes I like to let everybody do my thinking for me...how could you tell?? Lots of people out there like to take something reputed to be great and step all over it online, using sarcasm and little insults just to make themselves feel important. Just like your last sentence in your reply to me. Hope you feel important now.
